CLINICAL THERAPEUTIC EFFECT OF SULFOBENZYLPENICILLIN IN BILIARY SURGICAL INFLAMMATORY DISEASES

Clinical application of sulfobenzylpenicillin, a new semi-synthetic penicillin, was performed to 14 cases with acute inflammatory disease and 18 cases with postoperative complications, 32 cases in total. The results on the 14 cases with, acute serious infections were excellent in 1, good in 9, negative in 4. Such complications as postoperative cholangitis, pancreatitis, respiratory infection and wound infection were controlled in all cases with postoperative use.<BR>Clinically, 80% of the total cases responded to therapy.<BR>Any side effect was not observed in all patients.
