An attempt to apply computerized pattern recognition method to analyze low resolution mass spectra has been discussed. The mass spectra of organic compounds ranging C6-C15, O2-O6, and index of hydrogen deficiency 4-6, were converted into the logical(1, 0)patterns which were classified into several clusters based on their similarities. The results of classification were utilized for the prediction of partial structures of the tested compounds from their low resolution mass spectra. The computation was carried out along the program prepared based on this clustered results, then the correct answers were responded for 85 % of 238 tested compounds.
