Cobalt(II), nickel(II), and copper(II) complexes with 2-furancarbaldehyde oxime have been prepared and characterized mainly on the basis of electronic spectra and magnetic data. The cobalt(II) and nickel(II) complexes of the formula MX<SUB>2</SUB>(oxime)<SUB>4</SUB> (X=Cl, Br) have been isolated. They are all six-coordinated, the oxime being coordinated as a unidentate through the nitrogen atom. Copper(II) forms complexes of the formula CuX<SUB>2</SUB>(oxime)<SUB>2</SUB> (X=Cl, Br). Possible structures for these complexes are discussed.
