Ternary system CH<SUB>3</SUB>CO<SUB>2</SUB>Na–Na<SUB>2</SUB>HPO<SUB>4</SUB>–H<SUB>2</SUB>O was investigated between 38 and 75 °C. No double salt formation occurs in this temperature range. Saturated CH<SUB>3</SUB>CO<SUB>2</SUB>Na solution has a strong dehydrating influence on Na<SUB>2</SUB>HPO<SUB>4</SUB>·2H<SUB>2</SUB>O and Na<SUB>2</SUB>HPO<SUB>4</SUB>·7H<SUB>2</SUB>O. The lowest formation temperature for anhydrous Na<SUB>2</SUB>HPO<SUB>4</SUB> is about 57 °C.
