Oxygen partial pressure in equilibrium with nonstoichiometric ceric oxide of a definite composition were determined by equilibration with pure oxygen, air, CO2, and CO2-H2 mixtures at 900, 1000, 1100, 1227, and 1300°C, using a thermobalance. The values for the activities and the relative partial enthalpies and entropies of both Ce2O3 and CeO2 were calculated on the basis of the relation between the <I>P</I>o2 and its composition.
