In the KF–DMF system, the hexafluorothioacetone dimer (<B>1</B>) reacted with alcohols, alkanethiols, and thiophenols under mild conditions. The products, <B>2</B>, <B>3</B>, <B>10</B>, and <B>12</B>, were assumed to have resulted from the hexafluorothioacetone monomer (<B>4</B>) and the nucleophiles. Cycloadducts of <B>4</B> and anthracene or styrene were also obtained readily from the dimer (<B>1</B>) and the dienes.
