<I>N</I>-Alkylethylenediamine (RNHCH<SUB>2</SUB>CH<SUB>2</SUB>NH<SUB>2</SUB>; R=butyl, hexyl, isobutyl, and isopropyl) complexes of the type [CoCl<SUB>2</SUB>(diamine)<SUB>2</SUB>]X prepared by usual airoxidation method except the case of R=isopropyl. The <I>N</I>-ipren (R=isopropyl) complex was obtained by employing methanol as the solvent. A brief consideration of the steric effect of <I>N</I>-isopropyl group was given.
