Alkaline phosphatase activity (ALP) as well as Ca and P levels were measured in sera of 22 patients with cerebral palsy (CP), administrated with anti-epileptic drugs for a considerably long term, and 71 CP patients without epilepsy.Serum ALP in CP patients with epilepsy was proved to be lower than the average value in 87.5% of male and 66.7% of female. Serum Ca levels were found to be within normal limits in all of cases. Serum P levels were proved to be within normal values in almost all of them.In CP patients without epilepsy, serum ALP was proved to be lower than the average value in 93.5% of male and 92.5% of female. Serum Ca levels as well as P levels were found to be within normal limits in all of the cases.
