In a retrospective study of 22 patients with total ankle replacement (15 patients) and ankle arthrodesis (7 patients), the meen follow-up period was 4.4 years for TAR and 4.1 tor ankle arthrodesis. The ICLH type was used for TAR.Both TAR and ankle arthrodesis resulted in relatively good results.These results indicated that TAR was a useful reconstructive procedure for rheumatoid ankle disorders.
