Two cases of spinal cord injury in children.

Spinal cord injury in children is relatively uncommon. There are many different characteristics in comparison with adults' spinal cord injury, in particular, about type of palsy, level of spine lesion, complication and therapy. We have experienced problems during the therapy because of their physical and mental immaturity. In this report, we presented a 4-year-old and a 9-year-old girl who were injured by traffic accidents and had complete paraplegia without osseous spine fracture. The therapy for children with spinal cord injury required long period and consultation with orthopedists, experienced nurses, PTs and psychological counselors.
