Clinical Results of Surgical Treatment By Double Circumferential Wiring For Patella Fractures.

We evaluated clinical results achieved in 13 patients with patella fractures. The fractures were fixed with double circumferential wiring according to Matsumoto's method at surgery. They were followed up for 6 to 30 months with an average of 16 months.Postoperative results were assessed using the Three University's Criteria. The average score at follow-up was 96.6 points and almost all the results were satisfactory. The present study suggested that double circumferential wiring was indicated to all types of fractures because of the rigid fixation.
