In this research, an idea for the utilization of micro-bubbles to the improvement of water quality in an semi-enclosed coastal sea is examined. In the idea, micro bubbles are put into the sea with the thermal discharge of an existing power plant. Since the ascending velocity of micro bubbles is rather small, they are expected to spread widely with the thermal discharge and to contribute to the rise of the dissolved oxygen concentration of the sea. The convection of micro bubbles as well as changes of water quality are investigated by the three dimensional fluid simulation. Economical efficiency regarding to the scale of the micro-bubble generating equipments is discussed.
