To control the ballooning, an anti-balloon ring is put between snail wire and ring. The most effective position of this ring is on the maximum radius of the balloon. Its height is about 0.6 times of the stretch from snail wire. It is better to use a ring of a little larger diame terthan that of an ordinary ring.<BR>The anti-balloon ring being used, yarn tension and end downs decrease. <BR>The yarn spun on a frame with anti-balloon ring may have the same number of twist and breaking strength, but a little more nap compared with the ordinary one.
