• The tensile property of fabrics was tested on the modified IP-tester to get the following results : <BR>(1) The ratio of weft elongation to warp elongation is constant under various loads.<BR>(2) The high elasticity of warp knitted goods is only limited at low tension, and its recovery is chiefly composed of "delayed" one.<BR>(3) The recovery from tensile load is influenced largely by both the material and the mechanical conditioning, but little by the difference.
