The rupture phenomena of fibers due to the repeated varying stress has not been studied yet. The object of this experiment is to check the fatigue rupture of fibers in terms of Miner's hypothsis in a case of repeated varying stress. The results of the experiment on a polester fiber "Terylen" revealed that the hypothesis did not hold for the fatigue rupture of the fiber and that Σdn⁄N was about 0.5, instead of 1.0 deduced from the hypothesis.
