• An attempt has been made to explain the relation between the f rictor and the properties of sliver action on it. The frictor is a tube of trumpet type controlling the bundle of fibers.<BR>Part 1 : When a sliver inserted into the frictor was drawn without fiber slippage, the static drawing force with various forms of frictors, was measured by utilizing a magnetic strain meter. The results show that there is a linear relationship between the weight of sliver and static drawing force.
