Many reports of infections with Methicillin-resistant Staphylococcus aureus (MRSA) frequently appeared since the 1960's in European and U.S.A. medical journals. In Japan, however, MRSA infections were rarely reported and no attention was paid at that time.<BR>In the 1980's, Methicillin and Cephem-resistant Staphylococcus aureus (MCRSA) occurred with increasing frequency in Japan and many cases of MCRSA infections have been reported recently.<BR>In this report, we presented 2 cases of postoperative infections thought to be MCRSA and summarized treatment modality, especially combination administration of Fosfomycin (FOM) and Cefmetazol (CMZ).
