1) Lignin, cutin, pentosan, and methylpentosan contained in the wild white clover and the three kinds of cellulose in the crude fiber obtained by the A. 0. A. C. method are determined. 2) Four constituents of the same wild white clover as that of the previous report are determined, showing the result that lignin is 2.48±0.29%, cutin 0.42±0.06%, pentosan 6.84±0.16 and methyl-pentosan 1.05±0.09% on the dry matter basis and that only the content of methyl-pentosan significantly differs periodically. But, both the contentsof lignin and cutin are inclined to increase in autumn soon after bloom. From this fact, accordingly, it is thought that the increase of the crude fiber content at this stage may be partly due to that of lignin and cutin. 3) The correlation is nonsignificantly found, between the content of pentosan and methylpentosan, and between that of lignin and cutin. 4) The content of a-cellulose is the highest of the three kinds of cellulose in the crude fibre, followed by γ -and β-cellulose in this order. Consequently, increase of the crude fibre in autumn soon after bloom may mainly be due to the high content of α-cellulose, showing the data as followed: α-cellulose.is 53.21%, β 15.61% and γ 22.32% on the dry matter basis in the crude fibre.
