Observations of snow particles during the monsoon season were carried out at Base Camp (5055 m) and the Camp III (5610 m) in the Hidden Valley, Mukut Himal, Central Nepal, during the period from July 2 to August 28, 1974. The types of snow particles observed during this period were single snow crystals, snowflakes and graupels, not so differing greatly from those during the snowfall in Central Japan in winter season. The altitude of the tops of the precipitating clouds was estimated on the basis of the observations of stellar crystals.
