• There can often be seen stacks of the annulate lamellae in the principal cells of the epididymal epithelium of the Japanese monkey, which are associated with the rough-surfaced endoplasmic reticulum (rER). The fine structure and formation of these annulate lamellae were discussed, and in addition the arrangement of the pore-complexes in this peculiar structure were examined to compare with those of the nuclear pores.
