Recent progress in early diagnosis and chemotherapy of hepatocellular carcinoma has brought about certain changes in tumor pathology. The frequency of extrahepatic metastases has been 64% among 225 autopsies in our Department of Pathology, but it seems to be on the increase when studied chronologically. Tumor growth in the right atrium and bile ducts which was considered to be rare in the past was seen in 10 cases each, and intra-bronchial tumor growth in another case in recent years. This communication is maily concerned with the clinical and pathological findings in these cases.
