Experimental central serous chorioretinopathy was produced in the both eyes of the crab-eating monkey by repeated intravenous adrenaline and intramuscular prednisolone injections. Fluorescein angiography provided further confirmation for the clinical conformity of our animal model to human central serous chorioretinopathy. However, there appears to be no distinct effect of systemic corticosteroid administration on adrenaline-induced central serous chorioretinopathy.
