In Kagawa National College of Technology, Takuma Campus, the NTP server with a GPS (Global PositioningSystem) receiver had been out of order for three years. We replaced it with a new server in February 2011 and added anantenna in September 2012. We tested its actual operation for six months, and as the result, we confirmed that this newserver worked well and synchronized with UTC (Coordinated Universal Time) correctly. We also compared the overallaccuracy of our NTP server with two servers that Microsoft and SINET(Science Information Network)provide and wefound that the accuracy of our server is superior to that of servers. As a result, we conclude that constructing NTP server byourselves is significant from the viewpoint of accuracy, and also, constructing itself is expected to be used as a teachingmaterial for telecommunication technology.
