In Korea, ETRI (Electronics and Telecommunication Research Institute) has developed MSAR (Military Search and Rescue) M&S (Modeling & Simulation) Software providing various environments and system configuration for military transition of civil SAR (Search and Rescue) system. The MSAR System M&S Software can be used for performance analysis of new elements, such as ground elements and satellite elements without any hardware development. In this paper, after introduction of the functional scope of the simulator, the preliminary design of the each module for MSAR M&S software will be presented.
