This study investigated the effect of MTA temporization conditions and GIC application time on the materials interface. Half of the length of 50 plastic cylinders was filled with MTA and divided into 5 groups. The remaining half was filled by resin-modified GIC either immediately after MTA placement, 1 day or 7 days after temporization in presence or absence of wet cotton pellet. MTA-GIC interface was analyzed using SEM-EPMA for adaptation and elemental analysis. Hardness of the interfacial MTA was recorded and analyzed using ANOVA. Results suggest that GIC can be applied over freshly mixed MTA with minimal side effects.
