In geriatric medicine, fall is a very important problem. The serious damage such as fracture and subdural hematoma sometimes follows fall and brings about being bedridden. Being bedridden is also a risk factor of dementia. This condition needs great care and medical treatment. Therefore, the estimation of damages by fall is a very essential geriatric medicine. For this purpose, we investigated damages caused by falling in human body from the view point of classical mechanics. We assumed that human body could approximate one rigid body which looks like a rod with uniform mass density. The calculation was conducted by solving an equation of motion of rotation which is called an equation of Lagrange usually. At a result, we got the velocity of body just before colliding with a floor. Finally, we discuss our obtained result.
