β-Sitosterol-β-D-glucoside, β-sitosterol, ursolic acid, oleanolic acid, salicylic acid, vanillic acid, D-glucose and a fatty acid mixture containing n-tetracosanoic acid (G 24:0) as main component were isolated from stems of Elaeagnus pungens (THUNB.) plants. β-Sitosterol-β-D-glucoside therein was evaluated for its antiinflammatory effect by granuloma pouch assay.
