Harmer (2004) states that the ways we react to students' writing will depend not only on the kind of task which the students are given, but also on what we want to achieve at any one point. There are a number of ways reacting but these generally fall within one of two broad categories: responding and correcting. In this paper, we will examine the effective way of responding to and correcting students' writing.
