This study focuses on the philanthropy's contribution to society and business. From the viewpoint of the strategic philanthropy and stakeholder theory, collaborative philanthropy cases of TOYOTA and NISSAN with NPOs are examined and analyzed. And three perspectives are shown, as well as defining a framework, analysis of the cases, Resource exchange, Value creation, and Collaboration management in the corporation, based on the previous studies about collaboration. From the analytical perspective of the resource exchange, corporation and NPO exchanges the human resource and information resource, and their mutually complementary relationship are confirmed. Also from the analytical perspective of the value creation, NPO's activities expand and qualitatively improved, and the social value is clearly created by collaboration. Hence from the analytical perspective of the collaboration management, information flow through collaboration is created the invisible assets such as the stock of social information in corporation, the stock of corporate information in society, the channels for bringing information, the channels for supplying information, corporate ability to manage information, and employee's morale. This study has suggests at the end that collaborative philanthropy is a strategic activity, while it creates values for society and business at whole.
