This paper reports development of a multi-tasking machining process to conduct turning and imprinting under high hydrostatic pressure up to 400MPa in order to realize damage free machining of hard-brittle materials. The machining device has X-Y stage and turntable which are controlled by a computer. Cutting test and imprinting test of a soda glass plate show that the machining device is able to work well even under high hydrostatic pressure up to 200MPa. Based on the experimental results, cutting properties and imprinting properties are discussed.
