A partial channel state information (CSI) feedback algorithm based on statistics is proposed in the multiservice multi-user orthogonal frequency division multiple access (OFDMA) downlink systems. The objective is to minimize the total system transmission power guaranteeing the information transmission rate and bit error rate (BER) of each service user by allocating the sub-carriers and bits utilizing the CSI feedback. Simulation results show that 60% CSI feedback can be reduced at the expense of an additional 2.3% power consumption.
