Recently, one of the diseases caused by arteriosclerosis increase rapidly. Especially, the one originates in hands and feet peripheral arterial called arteriosclerosis obliterans (ASO). The diagnosis of the ASO using magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) equipment without contrast medium is applied as a useful visual screening on medical field. In this paper, we propose a new method for segmentation of arteries which is obtained from fresh blood imaging based on region growing methods and satisfactory results are obtained.
