It is necessary to estimate the tissue time-activity curve (tTAC) with high degree of accuracy in order to estimate parametric images. Previously, the conjugate gradient method is proposed for estimating the tTAC. This method is using a linear combination of basis functions which are given as prior information. In the method, the estimated result is influenced by the choice of basis functions, therefore it is important to choose appropriate basis functions. Since tTACs differ according to spatial location, we proposed the method to use position-dependent functions as basis functions for reconstruction and show how to choose the position-dependent functions. And the effectiveness of the proposed method also has been confirmed by the computer simulation.
