We introduce the earthquake damage assessment and disaster mitigation and response planning project in Ichikawa City, Chiba Prefecture. The object of the project is to describe detail plans and to develop a planning support system including the damage assessment system through the Workshop, in which the selected officers of the municipality and lifeline companies participate. This planning support system we proposed will function as a tool to connect the damage assessment to planning and one to raise the common awareness of the relationship between the sections in their routine work. We have reached the second step in the five steps planned and we summarize the present result and the schedule in the near future.
