The sorption process of phosphate, chloride, calcium ions and sodium dodecyl sulfate for nylon plate was studied by using the radiotracer method with ^<32>P, ^<36>Cl, ^<45>Ca and ^<35>S, respectively. The sorptioh of phosphate ion takes place mainly by attachment at the amine end groups of nylon molecule when the sorption amount is comparatively small, but an attachment at the amide groups is accompanied by increasing amount of sorption. From the results of desorption experiment, it was found that the gel-structure of nylon was made looser by lowering of pH, which resulted in increase of the rate of desorption. From the measurement of the initial velocity of adsorption of sodium dodecyl sulfate on nylon plate, it was predicted that this process was that towards to forming of surface film of SDS on nylon surface, in which the penetration of solute into nylon bulk was not yet occured.
