• While Popper's falsificationism has normally been dealt with in the context of such philosophical problems as the rationality of science, I shall consider it here in a practical context, with the help of a model case from software engineering. I shall attempt to find where Popper's falsificationist thought may be applicable to practical concrete problems. My intention in doing so is to demonstrate the suitability of the falsificationist approach to the practical procedures of software development.
