In this paper, we present running-type discrete approximation of FIR filter bank that minimizes various worst-case measures of error, including long-range worst-case measures of error. We consider a set of signals having Fourier spectrums expressed by Fourier series with many but finite terms. We show that a subset of this set of signals satisfies two conditions of the optimum interpolation approximation. Further, we present a consideration of the existence of the supreme signal.
