This paper presents a new design of human-body equivalent antenna to improve its induced current performance. The previously proposed equivalent antenna has a constant cross-section area, thus leaving the height as the only variable when modeling adults and children. As a result, if the antenna electric properties are designed for the adults, the induced current obtained when applied to the children deviates by almost twice to the value obtained from an anatomically human model. The new structure has two different cross-sections; the upper part of the antenna has different cross-section area to that of the lower part. By taking advantage of the added variables, i.e. area and length of each section, the antenna can be designed to produce induced current close to those obtained by the human model for both adult and children. Preliminary investigation on the effect of the added parameters of the antenna on induced currents is presented in this work. Finite Different Time Domain (FDTD) method is employed in the investigations.
