Principles of the Mossbauer effect and the hyperfine interaction parameters evaluated from the Mossbauer spectra are summarized and discussed in view of material research. Precipitation study of iron in aluminum and the estimation of the ferrite content in stainless steel weld and casting, both of which were reported already, are presented again as typical applications, of the Fe^<57> Mossbauer spectrometry.
