This paper is a case study of "School Conference" in Osaka Prefecture. I described the operation of three school conferences, and discussed the issues for improvement of school management. I compared the guideline, membership, and agendas of three conferences, then I explained how teachers do self-diagnosis of schooling. The guideline and the composition of conference differ with each other. They are reflecting the relationship between the community and the school. I pointed out that self-diagnosis of schooling is useful for exchanging opinions between teachers and parents. The following points are important for the enhancement of school conference. It is necessary to set chances of discussions of teachers, parents and community members as many as possible. Members of school conference should be selected from people who are actively participating in schooling. The board of education should support each school for the self-diagnosis. School principal's leadership is important for the communication between members of the conference and teachers.
