For promoting ripeness of a natural womb cervical duct part, It is judged that pregnant woman performs nipple massage herself positively. In addition, it was examined subjective symptoms and relevance of a massage.Method It was performed appositive nipple massage for 64 pregnant women during foreign consultation from pregnancy 37 weeks and it was used Bishop score and be evaluated ripeness of womb cervical duct region and investigated subjective symptoms. Results 1) On doing BS each week, the intervertion group progressed higher than objection group of women on primipara. 2) The intervention group scored of "hardness of womb's cervical in 39 weeks was high, whether they massaged or not. 3) It was not a significant correlation between time of their nipple massage and each score by BS and questionnaire items. 4) It appears that there is a week correlation between "abdominal tension" at 37 weeks. Conclusion It was not necessarily effective that positive nipple massage by herself promoted maturity of the womb's cervical duct.
