1. Benzalkonium chloride, alkyl (C_<12>〜C_<16>) benzyldimetyl ammonium chloride (ABDAC) in the antiseptic solution adsorbed onto the immersive cotton fablics supporter. 2. As the results, the inhibitory effects on the grouth of innoculated Staphilococcus aureus were decreased. Satisfactory recoveries of the effects were obtained by repeted adding each of the freshly prepared ABDAC solutions with increasing the active free forms. 3. A hydrophobic adsorption isotherm showed Langmuir monomolecular interaction mode which the greater adsorbtion became as the higher alkyl chain length of ABDAC was. 4. The free concentrations of ABDAC were determined by adding cetyltrimethylammonium bromide into the antiseptic ABDAC solutions, and by showing the strong desorption effects. 5. Consequently, the inhibitory effects on the grouth microorganisms with free C_<12> BDAC from the antiseptic ABDAC solutions were easily maintained by adding enough C_<14> and/or C_<16> BDAC, respectively.
