This paper proposes an excellent improvement method of SN ratio about acoustic diagnosis against a failure rolling bearing. Acoustic diagnosis system with condenser microphone has some attractive features which is more cheap for cost with devices, is wide band range of frequency. However, it is absolutely essential that signal processing procedure to extract background noise except for only abnormal signal generated by abnormal machinery components. In this research, noise canceller what is one of adaptive signal processing is employed to exclude a white noise source assigned to outside. Adaptive signal processing algorithm of noise canceller applies Joint Process prediction algorithm (JP algorithm). The effectiveness of this improvement method has been confirmed by experiment device composed of an abnormal bearing setting in rotary simulator, DSP board, two condenser microphones and an external noise source.
