The Japanese tradition of medical treatment for a woman in her confinement consists of two sides. One is scientific medical treatment and the other is religious medical treatment. In early Showa Area, the lives of Japanese common people was in difficult circumstances. At that time many women in her confinement were restricted by various taboos. Many women in their cofinement lost their lives when Japanese medical care and technology were not advanced yet In that age, women in their confinement were delivered at the risk of their lives.
