^<142>Pr becomes a stable ^<142>Nd after β^- decay with a half-life of 19.12 h. The most β-particles transit to the ground level and about 3.7% of them go to the excited level that leads the weak emission of the 1575.6 keV γ-ray. It is difficult to determine the activity because of weak and high-energy γ-ray, then 4πβ (pc) -γ (HPGe) coincidence method was applied to measure. When measurement was carried out during 2,000s, the disintegration rate of a source was determined with uncertainty of about 3%.
