Coupled oscillators may undergo some kinds of deterioration as time passes or suffer damages due to accidental events. Motivated by these, we here discuss the effect of "aging" on the behavior of globally coupled nonlinear oscillators and show that as the ratio of inactive oscillators increases, the system exhibits a phase transition, which we call an aging transition, characterized by a universal scaling law.
