China has established an integrated meteorological satellite system, from sun-synchronous (FY-1 series) to geostationary meteorological satellite (FY-2 series) and will develop its new generation meteorological satellites. Tracking, Telemetry and Command (TT&C) systems are critical elements for satellite control and application. This paper briefly introduces the characteristics of these meteorological satellites and mainly focuses on discussing their TT&C technologies, especially these for the new generation meteorological satellite (FY-3 and FY-4), which is now in a development and proposal stage.
