SANEKU is on the edge of the north of the Kakeroma-lsland. There is SANEKUSANJIRO-Shinto shrine in SANEKU. "NAGARAHACHIMARU" is a tragic hero on the Amami-lsland. It is said that "NAGARAHACHIMARU" was killed by RYUKYU-KING "SYOSEIOU." "NAGARAHACHIMARU" lived in NAGARA. NAGARA is in the Uken-Village. There is a legend that "SANEKUSANJIRO" and "NAGARAHACHIMARU" compared their powers. There is a time diffrence of hundreds of years between "SANEKUSANJIRO" and "NAGARAHACHIMARU". It is guessed that the origin of the legend was shaman's oracle in the Meiji era.
