Thein Pe Myint (1914〜78) started to write novels in 1933. Although he loved to write novels as if they were his children, he could not write them in 1941〜47. The reason why he could not do it was that he was very busy with his political movement. How would his novels reflect his political experience? I have already written about the influence of his Anti-Fascist movement in 1941〜45 on his literature. In this paper I tried to consider about the influence of his postwar movement-his struggle both inside and outside BCP-on his novels. The content of the paper is as follows. Chapter 1 Until writing the new novel 1 Background 1 (Apr.'45〜Jul.'46)-As the General Secretary of BCP- 2 Background 2 (Aug.'46〜Dec.'47)-The struggle inside BCP- Chapter 2 Over the literary vacuum 1 The literary argument 2 'Not Till After Independance'(1948) 3 The light and shade of Burmese Independance Chapter 3 Until writing the next novel 1 Background 1 (Jan.'48〜Mar.'48)-Last struggle inside BCP- 2 Background 2(Apr.'48〜Aug.'48)-The struggle outside BCP- Chapter 4 Novel again 1 "The Way out" (1949) 2 The characterization of the masses and the classes of postwar Burma 3 The critiques on "The Way Out" Chapter 5 People's Literature 1 The next literary argument 2 'All's Well Sir'(1949) 3 'How Could They Call Him Traitor'(1950)
