The absorption spectrum of OCS in the region 650-950Å has been investigated. In this wavelength region, Rydberg series III, IV, V, and VI, all converging to the same series limit 16.04eV, and series VII converging to 17.96 eV, were previously reported by Tanaka et al. In the present investigation, those five Rydberg series were precisely confirmed and, in addition to those series, three Rydberg series V', VIII, and IX and the vibrational series (v' = 0, 0, 1) of series VII were newly identified. New Rydberg series V' converging to the same series limit as that of series III〜VI was observed at the shorter wavelength side of series V. Its quantum defect was slightly smaller than that of series V. Two new Rydberg series VIII and IX, both converging to the same series limit as that of series VII, were observed. Series VIII consisted of relatively broad bands, which were weakly shaded to the shorter wavelength side. Series IX was observed as "apparent emission series". The mean ΔG value between the newly found vibrational series and the series VII was 2176cm^<-1>, which well agreed with the value of ν_3 of C^^〜^2Σ^+ of OCS^+ reported by Brundle and Turner.
